What is less expensive ~Screenprint or Embroidery?
Every order is different and a lot depends on Quantity. Screenprint is usually cheaper however requires larger quantities. Smaller orders generally are less expensive with Embroidery. Your needs and desired quantity will dictate the design process utilized.
How Does the Order Process Get Started?
Clients choose an item # from the apparel catalog and choose a design from the links provided or email your Logo to [email protected]. Once received a proof will be created for your approval. Upon approval normal turnaround time is 1-2 weeks from payment to pickup/delivery/shipping. We accept all orders within the US. Acceptable Payment ~ Cash Check or PayPal
What is Digitizing or Vector Artwork & how does pricing work?
Embroidery Pricing is dependent on the number of stitches in a design not the amount of colors and number of locations on a garment. Another charge which may be incurred is a setup fee. Designs must be in a format the machine can read to stitch out, .DST .XXX .CND to name a few. Logos will be digitized at a one time set up fee, converting preferably a 300 dpi JPG image. Once digitized your Logo will be kept on file for future orders. All digitized files remain the property of Mama's Monograms & Embroidery and shall not be relinquished. No set up fee charged for stock designs/lettering from 2011 Dakota Collection 20,000 designs. If a design is requested outside this collection that charge will be added to the order.
Screenprint Pricing is dependent on the number of Colors/Quantity in a design and number of Locations on the garment. A setup fee will be charged to convert Logo Artwork into vector format if necessary. Vector format is .CDR .AI .EPS .SVG some PDF if created using vector software. The file remains crisp no matter how it's resized and will not distort vs a .JPG .TIFF .BMP etc which pixels as it's resized.
What is Applique?
A combination of Embroidery and Stitched layered fabric, usually lettering.
What is Sublimation?
A process of printing and applying to a substrate using heat which transfer by adhering gases to polyester molecules which neither fade, crack, or peel.
What is Screenprint?
Plastisol inks applied to a substrate and cured with heat
What is Vinyl?
Vinyl is cut from vector files on a cutter. Depending on the type, Thermo film which is heat applied to fabric or CadCut which is a decal, it is then applied to different substrates~WallWords TShirts Decals Signs etc
